1. How do I create an account?

You can join GO Gym by choosing from a range of membership options, finding one that is right for you. Please visit https://www.gogym.uk/memberships/ for more information on our memberships and a link to subscribe.

2. Do you just offer chronic illness videos?

No, GO Gym is an inclusive gym, offering fitness, exercise, beauty and nutrition for all. We recognise the importance of having tailored exercise for people with chronic illness but we also provide standard exercise sessions for those who wish to support a social enterprise.

3. Do I need any experience?

No, at GO Gym we offer training sessions for people of all ages and experience levels. Everything from 1-minute stretching sessions, to full on HIIT training – and everything in between. At GO Gym we offer exercise to suit everyone.

4. What classes do you teach?

We update our website with new content regularly. Currently members can watch body weight exercises, HIIT classes, Zumba, Pilates, Yoga and functional fitness. We are always looking to review our content and would love to hear your suggestions for any new classes. Please join us on our Facebook page to make a recommendation!

5. How do I view the online classes?

Once you subscribe to a package to suit your needs, just log in and GO Gym! Our sessions are available for you to enjoy day or night when convenient for you.

6. Do I have to pay to watch online classes?

Yes, you can choose an option which suits your needs from a range of subscription packages. Please visit our membership page here: https://www.gogym.uk/memberships/ for information on the subscription packages we offer.

7. Are you running classes during Covid-19?

Yes, our coaches are filming videos from the safety of their own homes, or while practising social distancing.

8. Can I watch a video on a mobile device?

Yes, our website is fully optimised for mobile usage, so you can GO Gym whenever and wherever its convenient for you.

9. What devices can I use to watch content?

At GO Gym we understand the important of flexibility so you can login on all devices that connect to the internet… laptops, mobile phones, tablets – even an internet enabled TV.  

10. How often do you add new videos?

We aim to provide new and exciting content every 6 weeks.

11. How do I cancel my monthly subscription?

You can cancel at any time by simply filling in our Cancellation Request Form here. Please note that we require 2 months’ notice to cancel.

12. How much is it to join?

13. How do I contact Go Gym?

At GO Gym, we really value communication and want to have the opportunity to speak with you, our valued customer, “face to face” on a weekly basis.

And as Val Duguid, our CEO, doesn’t have a Tardis or Time Turner to be in two places at once, she is relying on the wonders of Facebook Live every week to offer that direct support. This time will be used to engage with our GO Gym community to answer any questions you may have, take on board any recommendations for new content, interview specialists etc.

Val will be live on the members Facebook Members’ Group page every Tuesday evening 1700-1900 GMT and Friday morning 1000-1100 GMT so please do come along and join in.

We appreciate that sometimes you may wish to connect with GoGym on a 1:1 bass, so you can alternatively drop us an email at support@gogym.uk and we will respond within 48 hours.

14. How do I reset my password?

Simple, just visit www.gogym.uk/login and click on the “Forgot Password” link

15. How do I upgrade my subscription?

To upgrade your account, click on My Account -> Subscriptions and click on the “Change Plan” button, selecting your new plan. Your subscription will change immediately and your payment plan will be adjusted accordingly on your next payment cycle.

16. What should I eat before a training session?

Please allow an hour after eating, before you take part in exercise.

17. What should I wear when I’m training?

The simple answer is this, wear whatever you are comfortable in, bathrobe and bunny slippers included! That’s one of the great benefits of joining GO Gym…. You can exercise in the comfort of your own home and not be concerned with keeping up with any fashion trends or gym wear, which is also great for sustainability! It’s important to be hydrated, so always have water with you, and something comfortable and sturdy on your feet, whenever possible.

18. What chronic illness do you support?

We currently focus on supporting the following chronic illnesses:

Cancer, Fibromyalgia, Obesity, Multiple Sclerosis, Diabetes and Mental Health.

19. Will any new chronic illnesses or specialist subjects be added to the GoGym portfolio?

Absolutely, we are committed to providing support, exercise and nutrition to support an extensive range of chronic illness and injury rehabilitation. We would love to hear your recommendations so please reach out via our Facebook community with your suggestions.

20. What qualifications do the trainers have?

All GO Gym coaches are fully qualified in their area of expertise.

21. What is a social enterprise?

A social enterprise or social business is defined as a business that has specific social objectives that serve its primary purpose. Social enterprises seek to maximize profits in order to maximize benefits to society and the environment. Their profits are principally used to fund social programs.

22. How does a social enterprise gym differ from any other online gym?

Our aim is to give back to the community where we can. Whether it’s to reduce wi-fi poverty for those impacted by chronic illness or fund memberships for those in need.

What is wifi poverty, we hear you ask?

You may not have even heard of wi-fi poverty… neither had we, until lockdown!

Imagine being diagnosed with a chronic illness and not having the finances to access help and support online due to financial hardship? This is a reality for many people in our community and we are committed to addressing this issue. Your membership fees will allow us to assist those most in need.

23. Where is my data stored?

All data is stored in the UK, in line with GDPR guidelines.

24. Can I subscribe to GO Gym from anywhere in the world?

Yes, you can join GO Gym from any international location. Please note that all membership prices are listed in £GBP and you may find differences in conversion rates depending on where you live.

25. The volume is quite low on my laptop. How can I make this louder?

Some videos may play at a low volume on certain devices. We recommend using Bluetooth or a USB lead to connect your device to external speakers or your TV raise the volume to your liking.
